After School Club – SFA Extra Time Programme

The Haddington Athletic CFC After School Club is completely free and has been introduced to help support families in Haddington during the cost of living crisis.

Run as part of the SFA Extra Time Programme, our coaches will deliver sessions to children from Haddington Primary School and St Mary’s Primary School, providing a positive and affordable solution for after-school care.

We are responsible for delivering fun, engaging multi-sport sessions that help children stay active, develop new skills, and build positive relationships with their peers.

Our sessions are open to boys and girls of all abilities, ensuring every child feels included, valued, and supported. Each session promotes physical health, mental wellbeing, and social confidence, offering a constructive, enjoyable way to unwind at the end of the school day.

What to Expect

  • A wide variety of multi-sports activities including football, athletics-style games, fun team challenges, and coordination-building exercises

  • Sessions designed to improve movement skills, balance, agility, and confidence through play

  • A nurturing environment that encourages teamwork, respect, and positive behaviour

  • Opportunities for children to discover new sports, learn what they enjoy, and develop a lifelong love of being active

  • A safe space where every child can take part at their own pace, supported and included

  • Positive social interaction that helps children make friends and build communication skills outside of the classroom

  • Fun, engaging activities led by trained staff who understand children’s needs and are focused on wellbeing and development

  • Open to children from Haddington Primary School and St Mary’s Primary School

  • PE kit or sportswear and a water bottle

  • Spaces are free but must be registered in advance to ensure safe supervision.
