About Haddington Athletic Community Football Club (CFC)

Welcome to Haddington Athletic Community Football Club (CFC) — a proud grassroots football club at the heart of Haddington and East Lothian.
Our mission is simple: to provide football for all, creating opportunities for people of every age, ability, gender, and background to enjoy the beautiful game in a safe, supportive, and inclusive environment.

Founded with strong community values, Haddington Athletic CFC has grown into one of East Lothian’s most respected community clubs, now home to over 450 young members and 100 dedicated volunteers. Together, we deliver high-quality football coaching, personal development, and social wellbeing programmes that make a lasting difference — both on and off the pitch.

Our Vision

We believe football is for everyone.
Our vision is to build a welcoming, inclusive football community that inspires participation, promotes positive mental and physical health, and encourages every player to reach their full potential.

By removing financial and social barriers, we make football accessible to all — offering affordable membership fees and free funded places for families on low incomes. This ensures that every child in Haddington has the chance to play, belong, and grow.

Our Values

Our club is built on a foundation of Respect, Inclusion, Teamwork, and Community. These values guide everything we do:

  • Respect – We value each individual, on and off the pitch.

  • Inclusion – Everyone is welcome, regardless of ability, background, or experience.

  • Teamwork – We believe in learning, growing, and succeeding together.

  • Community – We are more than a club; we are a family rooted in Haddington’s heart.

Our Community Impact

At Haddington Athletic CFC, football is a force for good. Beyond sport, we’re proud to lead community initiatives that improve health, wellbeing, and social connection across East Lothian.

Our programmes include:

  • Autistic & Neurodiverse Teams (U16 & U21) – providing safe, inclusive spaces for players to build confidence and social skills.

  • Walking Football – helping older adults stay active, mobile, and socially connected.

  • Over 35s & Women’s Recreational Teams – fun, friendly football for adults of all fitness levels.

  • Menopause Groups – promoting wellbeing and community connection through open conversation.

  • After School Club (SFA Extra Time Programme) – supporting local children to stay active, confident, and engaged after school.

Every session, match, and initiative strengthens our community and helps create a healthier, happier Haddington.
